The Tribase Reign franchise is Under Armour’s pinnacle functional training footwear line offering innovative solutions for the performance needed in this space.

Leveraging relationships with Crossfit Games athletes, the product is tested critically to ensure the performance benefits are appropriate and authentic to this athlete. 

Stability, Flexibility and Durability are at the core of what the Reign stands for. 

In the Tribase Reign 3, the decoupled rubber outsole is the driving factor behind the flexibility and underfoot feel the shoe provides. Paired with Under Armour’s Tribase technology, which provides stability underfoot with anatomically considered geometry, the rubber component wraps up the midsole sidewall and provides additional support and stability. This also acts as a shield to provide durability when doing rope climbs. 

With the upper, the durability is evolved from its previous iterations by moving to a zonal, more flexible application on the mesh to provide the durability necessary without compromising flexibility or breathability. The knit bootie allows for a seamless entry and second skin fit. 

The details of the shoe were further inspired by the athlete. The heel counter uses geometry that aids in handstand pushups by reducing rubber contact with the wall.
